Kerat’innov: Batch management and process control

Based in La Ciotat, in the south of France, Kerat’Innov‘s main activity is the design, manufacture, packaging and distribution of products for the food, pharmaceutical and veterinary industries. The manufacture of high-quality, naturally sourced keratin hydrolysates that are bioavailable for all is their core business.

In order to manage the manufacture of natural keratin in real time, the COOX MES software was chosen to provide complete control over the manufacturing process.

The production batch numbers that identify a group of products are automatically created and provide all the required information about the production conditions (which products used the same raw material, the same machine, which were part of the same production order, made at the same time, etc.).

Thanks to the COOX Full MES Builder and its MESbox, the application allows the manufacturing process to be completely visualized and controlled in real time. It ensures:

• Process monitoring and control,

• The management of manufacturing recipes,

• Precise management of each batch,

• Dosage control,

• Full production traceability.

The management of the sheep wool purification workshop, where the keratin is sourced, allows the different stages of their unique and patented manufacturing process to be monitored in order to obtain a hydrolysed keratin that is completely water-soluble and 96% bioavailable.
