BEFESA VALERA, European leader in the recovery of residues from stainless steel manufacturing, has a briquetting plant at its historic site in Gravelines. This plant plays an essential role in the production process, as it transforms metallurgical dust into ingots that can be recycled for use in steel production.
In order to improve the performance of its equipment, BEFESA chose the COOX platform and its QPI (Quality & Performance Indicators) module to manage its production site.
To ensure quick adoption of the application, integration partner A2SI developed a customised MES (Manufacturing Execution System) application dedicated to monitoring the overall equipment effectiveness (OEE): this allows downtime, production losses and causes of malfunctions to be identified quickly and accurately.
Thanks to the COOX platform and the QPI (Quality & Performance Indicators) module, the application allows you to supervise all stages of production, measures machine performance and monitors all production performance indicators in real time.
